The winners of the AFC Champions League, Urawa, advanced to the semi-finals by defeating Leon of Mexico, and now they will play the European champions in a glamorous match. The victor will take on Fluminese, who defeated Al Ahly 2-0 in Monday’s opening semifinal.
After a dismal few weeks in domestic football, City will be hoping that what should be a simple pair of victories—becoming the world champions for the first time—will allow them to rest and rejuvenate.
