Arsenal suffered their first away Premier League defeat since losing 1-0 to Newcastle United in November 2024, ending a run of 15 away games unbeaten.

Dominik Szoboszlai’s strike against Arsenal was Liverpool’s latest winning goal (83rd minute) via a direct free-kick in a Premier League game since Steven Gerrard netted against Aston Villa in the 87th minute in August 2007.

Liverpool have scored in 37 Premier League matches in a row, their longest run of consecutive top-flight games scored in of all time.

Liverpool managed just two shots in the first half of each of their last two Premier League matches. It’s the first time they’ve had as few as that in back to back first halves since January 2004.

Before today, Liverpool were winless in six Premier League matches against Arsenal (D4 L2), their longest winless run against the Gunners since going eight without a win between October 2007 and April 2011.

Only Liverpool vs Spurs (206) has seen more goals of all Premier League fixtures than Arsenal vs Liverpool (199). Since the 2015-16 campaign, it has seen the most goals of any fixture (79 in 21 games).
