Highlights.

This is the first time Paris have lost a game without scoring in all competitions this season.

Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho has completed 12 dribbles tonight against PSG, the most by a player in a Champions League semi-final since Barcelona’s Lionel Messi in April 2008 against Manchester United (16).

Borussia Dortmund have kept their fifth clean sheet in the Champions League this season, more than any other side.

Niclas Füllkrug is only the third Borussia Dortmund player to both score three goals and assist three goals in a Champions League season, along with Stéphane Chapuisat in 1996-97 (3 goals, 3 assists) and Tomáš Rosický in 2002-03 (3 goals, 4 assists).

Jadon Sancho completed 3 take-ons in the opening 15 minutes against PSG, as many as every other player on the pitch combined.

Youngest starting players in the UCL semi-finals:

  • Julian Draxler (17y 226d) with Schalke v Man United in May 2011
  • Warren Zaïre-Emery (18y 54d) with Paris v Dortmund tonight
  • Kylian Mbappé (18y 134d) with Monaco v Juventus in May 2017

Paris have hit 10 times the woodwork in this UEFA Champions League edition, more than any other team. Only Barcelona (11 in 2011-12) have done more in the same UCL season over the last 20 years.

Luis Enrique is the 3rd Spanish coach to reach Champions League semi-finals with a foreign team after Rafa Benítez (3 – all with Liverpool) and Pep Guardiola (6 – three with Bayern München and three with Man City).

Niclas Füllkrug (31y 82d) became the oldest player with a goal in a UCL semi-final in his debut season in the competition since Gianluca Vialli in 1995/96 (scored for Juve v Nantes on 17/04/1996 at 31y 283d).

In the first 31 UEFA Champions League campaigns, only three English players appeared in a semi-final for a non-English club (McManaman, Hargreaves, Tomori). This season, there’s been four (Dier, Kane, Bellingham, Sancho).

Kylian Mbappé has had more shots on target than any other player in this season’s UEFA Champions League (23), having two or more shots on target in six different matches in 2023-24.

Most take-ons completed in a UCL knockout game since 2016/17:

  • 15 – Neymar vs. Atalanta (QF 2020)
  • 15 – Neymar vs. Juventus (QF 2017)
  • 13 – Neymar vs. Real Madrid (R16 2018)
  • 12 – Jadon Sancho vs. PSG (SF 2024)
  • 12 – Noa Lang vs. Benfica (R16 2024)

Sancho now leads the way in the 23/24 KO stages.

Borussia Dortmund have won back-to-back games in the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League for the first time since the 2012-13 quarter-final/semi-final, when they would eventually lose in the final to Bayern Munich.

Paris Saint-Germain have progressed from two of their last four UEFA Champions League knockout ties when losing the first leg, with the first of those coming against Borussia Dortmund in the 2019-20 round of 16 (1-2 away, 2-0 home).
