Manchester City player Phil Foden nominated for Ballon d'or 2021
Phil Foden

It’s surreal that a player from our academy is being nominated for the Ballon D’or. The boy from Stockport is inspiring so many other players in our academy. This is just the beginning for Phil Foden.

Transfer News

ManCity have rejected an £8m bid from Brighton for James McAtee. The club has said that he is not available for sale at any price and they believe his future is here.

Dusan Vlahovic’

Dusan Vlahovic’s agents have a ‘super offer’ from ManCity, with a salary of €6M per season after tax. ManCity are offering ‘two digits’ in agent commission compared to Fiorentina’s €3M. Atletico Madrid are a competitor for the striker.

Fiorentina’s president announced that contract talks with ManCity target Dusan Vlahovic have collapsed, with his contract up in 21 months.

Shaun Goater is returning to ManCity as an academy coach on a PL BAME scheme. Goater has a UEFA A licence and is set to work across the club’s age groups from foundation phase up to professional development, on a 23-month placement.

For Barcelona, signing Raheem Sterling ‘seems more likely’ than completing a move for Dani Olmo. Barça ‘will make a new attempt’ to sign Sterling in January, and believe ManCity will not stand in Sterling’s way, if there is ‘a good offer’.

Raheem Sterling is ‘ready’ to join Barcelona during the next summer. The move would have to be a loan due to Barcelona’s current financial situation.

It is true that clubs like Chelsea & Manchester City are interested in Florian Wirtz. Many ‘Super Clubs’ are following & in the race. Bayern are in the race. No release clause.

Other Manchester City News

Ferran Torres on his new dog:

“Milo is a dog that I have rescued from a kennel, they found him abandoned; I am very committed to this issue. Now he is my family in Manchester.”

Didier Deschamps on Laporte: “I didn’t speak with him again, he had this opportunity and I am happy for him. It was the path he wanted to take and I hope it goes well for him, even if tomorrow [Nations League Final] our path will cross.”
